Lucky for me the dealer never had a chance to put it on. They didn't even have time to put their sticker on the back. I bought it the day they got it, and asked not to have it on.

4? I have to recheck mine now...I could've sworn when I put my license plate I only saw two I can deal with one set of vampire teeth marks but not two.

Here are what the 4 holes look like (4 inner holes):

The two extra outer holes were drilled for direct mounting of the plate without the plastic mount. I dremeled the outer holes and inserted square license plate mounting retainers, then cut some angled bushings to stand-off the plate from the bumper at the proper angle. Placing clear adhesaive bumpers at the middle of the plate back prevent any movement or vibration.

Wow~ :surprised Good thing your front plate is covering up all those holes

If mine has four holes...The front plate stays on

That picture is of a spare bumper we have. All the holes will be filled in. And the bumperettes shaved....and the line around the black insert filled...and perhaps some other mods....

Who knows!

I guess I was lucky that my factory plate bracket was only attached with 4 phillips head screws. No drilling required, and only 4 small holes left that I actually had to enlarge slightly to get the plastic rivet covers in.

I'm looking foward to seeing your mod SoCal. I'm ok about my front plate for now. But who knows. Time will tell.

I don't have the license plate mount on my HHR. I bent the license plate and frame to match the bumper. put a piece of double sided tape( but only remove the paper from the side on the plate) so it wouldn't vibrate and bolted it directly to the black part of the bumper.

As I've stated a few times, the bumperettes serve no purpose and I usually Photoshop them out in the pics I do.
