I have lived in SoCal for roughly 6 years, and have never run a front license plate on any of my cars. Though fully aware that it is illegal, every time I have gotten pulled over, no one has said a thing. Even had the cop walk up and look at the front of the car. I have so far called this nothing but luck, but I wonder if they even enforce that at all. I might just take mine off, fix the bumper, and see what happens.

I think this is all a bit funny! I had the Dealer specifically put the front plate mount on before we took the car!! I've always put an "Arizona Flag" Plate on the front of all my vehicles since the mid-80s, and the HHR was no different. I guess I just don't consider such things as being unsightly. Maybe it just comes with age?
