Funny how plans change
We went to the dealership today to take a 2007 HHR LT for a test drive, since we only have 4 months left on the lease of our current car.
Wanted to crunch numbers, etc. before deciding when to do a factory order for an Imperial Blue one. Prior to taking the test drive, we were adamant that we did not want or need XM. Oddly enough, we spent most of the time on the one and a half hour test drive listening to the XM stations
In the end, we walked out with a shiny new 2006 Daytona Blue HHR LT 1SA (1LT) that had everything we wanted except for running boards. It also comes with XM, which we decided we wanted afterall.
Picking it up on Tuesday after work

That's terrific...welcome to the wonderful world of owning an HHR. So much for the 2007. Obviously your test drive was more than you planned on. Looking forward to hearing all about it and seeing photos when you have the time.

Just spent 2 weeks in our motorhome, traveled 2500 miles and was able to listen to XM the entire trip with no interuptions. Initially I didn't think I would want it either, but after a business trip to southern CAL and getting a rental that had XM in it and having no interuptions, I was sold. Now after this vacation trip, I am more than sold. I will never be without one. Matter of fact, I bought another bracket mount today at J.C. Whitney so I can hook it up in my HHR without having to take the brackets out of the pickup.
