He has a point! FMG make sure they test your battery at the actual battery terminals

Not really sure why you put those 2 posts in this thread. They're not really about what we're discussing here. You should move them over to your thread about the Phantom drain.

Yes you are correct but it might apply to a battery drain problem after a car sits for a long period of time also.

As I said " it might apply to a battery drain problem after a car sits for a long period of time also."
My problem is random, that's why I thought I could help in someway with this tread.

Well. That didn't take long.
Went to start the SS this morning and it barely turned over. Not enough to start the engine. Off to the store in my truck and picked up a new battery.
Got it put in and went for a computer shakedown cruise. All is well.

Guess I shouldn't complain. It was the original battery. 10 years old.

At least you aren't asking us how this could happen after 10 happy years...

And your radio didn’t get zapped!
Just for the record, which battery did you choose?

Why do you think this ?

My original battery of 9 years finally went south.
Replaced it and no problems other than reset time and date on the radio.
Had to replace the battery 5 months later, broke a figure nail to reset time and date on the radio.
