Funny thing at WalMart

But what I thought was really strange is that it ALSO changed the remote codes to the exact same as mine. I'm told the remote system on our cars use a random alternating scan (don't remember the exact term) that changes the code EVERY time you push the button. That way illegal "scanners" cannot lock into your code.
Anyway....very strange.

Years ago a friend of ours came out of the shopping center got into her yellow bug cranked it up and drove away, She then realized it wasn't hers , she turned around and put it back in the orrigional space. Got out locked the door and saw hers 2 spots farther down the same row. No one knew the difference.

Yeah - my dad's first brand new car, a '63 Nova got stolen that way. My dad got lazy and never turned the ignition to 'LOCK' before taking out the key. If it was just in 'OFF', you could start the car just by turning the bezel.

I went to have copies made of my daughter's PT Cruiser keys at Home Depot. The guy tried like 3 times and kept breaking off the blanks in the machine. He gave up. The car has manual door locks, so no one is getting into the car - better yet - no one will want to. Manual door locks - what are they?? LOL
Did eventually get the key copies made at good ol' Walmart.
