I did a refill and reset and I'm coming out at 22.5 around town. At this altitude, that should not be that bad adding in the difference to sea level which would put me around 25-26 mpg area.

That's just about what I recognized the week I spent in Albuquerque.......24.2 mpg. All city except for brief runs on sections of I-25 and I-40.

Like I have said before I have reset the MPG only three times since I have owend my HHR. That was when I 1st got it, just to play with it. It now shows 27.+/- . when I do the math it's right on +/- a point or two that I think is from tire spin and other things that I do to this car. I don't drive for MPG I just drive and enjoy my HHR

MPG Display

I bought HHRvey new in January 2006, and I have found over these past 2 years that the mileage display can be trusted. HHRvey is a 1LT automatic and I consistantly get 23mpg around town, and 28mpg on road trips.

2 Year Anniversary

Bought my Spring Edition in April 06 ... just hit 28K and the HWY avg is right at 30mpg on a trip at normal speeds..Since I rarely drive at normal speeds, and use the HHR for business stop & go's... the displayed avg tends to stay at 27.8 - 28. That avg seems to be true to the actual mpg computed by the ol' pocket calulator. .

First trip

Just returned from a 335 mile trip Started out with 2775 on the mileage and now reads 3110, I filled it up and it took 11.1 gal. The DIC stated 28.9 MPG the calculator shows 30.188 The DIC shows 66 mph going and 64 mph coming home. I set the cruise at 75 and stayed there, about 12 down shifts due to hills. This is a 2008 panel with 2.4 auto and 18" wheels. My normal for city is 24.5 on the dic, never check it. I feel this is real good for running 75 + most of the trip.

I find that my DIC is exact to the tenth. Just calculated my mileage on the latest run from Buffalo to Chicago, I got 33.5 by DIC and tank to tank. Got 30.5 the time before on the exact same trip. Differences - the car has 2000 more miles on it, the weather is about 20 degrees warmer, and the car was loaded to the roof, so considerably heavier, but sitting about level. I like the look, so it's probably time for the leveling springs.
