Gas prices in your city/town

Back in the 70's when we had gas lines and rationing and odd/even fill-up days, a guy who lived on the next corner up from our family (only about 4 houses away) started filling a 10 gallon plastic gas can each time he went to fill up his car (you cold only take a maximum of 15 gallons at most stations, so he put 5 in his car and 10 in the gas can). He was storing all these gas cans inside the house, in a spare bedroom. A fire started inside the house (unrelated to the gasoline storage), and in minutes the house was ablaze. Shortly after firefighters arrived, the fire reached the gas cans and ... you guessed it ... started rupturing and feeding the fire. The blaze was incredible, with flames shooting hundreds of feet into the air. I remember it vividly. None of the firefighters were hurt by the gasoline, even though they were completely unaware of it's existence in the house. But the city and county came down hard on the guy.

we're down to 1.57.
i'm thinking in the next few days we'll be under 1.50, whic is great for all the holiday traveling.
i was looking through my gas records i keep in the hhr. We got it on july 1st, and gas was 3.87 around then.... seems insane
