I was talking about this at work and a guy said he saw an analyst on tv last night and said that a barrel of gas would be $250 by the end of this year and the prices will be around $12.00 a gallon.

The big wigs at these oil companies say it's hurting them too, give me a F@#KING BREAK. If I made over $2 milion dollars a year I wouldn't worry about anything.

Exxon/Mobile CEO made $12.5 million last year.

I just thought i would add my opinion.....The gas signs are only made for a single digit gas price..... up to 9 would be the highest they could go..... so if gas prices were to go any higher then 9 then gas station would need to buy new signs which probably dont exist yet anyways......plus some gas stations dont profit enough to afford the new signs.....there is a station by my house that would not be able to afford a new sign and if the new signs were made i guess i would go work for the company that made the signs cause they would be raking in the dough.......that is just my view which i noticed the other day when i went past a gas station i was like wow gas could really only go up to $9.99 which wouldnt be that bad if you own an hhr cause in my SS i get about 454 miles to a tank......I try not to beat on it too much....but yeah anyways that just my food for thought!!!!

Best locally is 87 octane = $3.90, 91 octane = $4.29. Old fashioned genuine Full Service in ritzy local town is $5.64 for premium and saw two cars filling up there (a Mercedes and a Land Rover). 100 octane unleaded race gas is now $60/5 gal, and pure Toluene has also doubled to about $12/gal.

They could set the pumps for half gallon, which would bring the $10.00 per gallon price down to $5.00 per half gallon.

We need to figure out a way to make fuel of something we have too much of, like prisoners.

Back in the old days when gas was $0.32/gallon, pumps had the mechanical readouts with only 3 digits, so the max fill was $9.99. Even when cars had 20 gallon tanks a tankfull was $8.

I'm not worried the stations will find a way to take in the $$$.

Here in Auburndale, FL I filled my HHR yesterday @ 3.97 a gallon ( 87 Octane ), and filled my bike @ 7.39 a gallon ( 100 Octane ).

As a society, we need fuel to survive our daily lives. What the goverment and the Oil Tycoons do not understand is, trucks are paying almost $5 a gallon for fuel, and it is driving the cost of everything through the roof. They are going to see it come out of their pockets as well as we do, just not as bad. In 1999 ( Before Bush ), gasoline prices were .90 a Gallon ( national average ). Since then, it has increased over 400%. How can they justify that high of an increase??? Someone tell me the someones pockets are not getting lined with greenbacks!

And they aren't gouging us! I'm about 20mi east of Cleveland and the gas is 3.99 most places, I can go 10mi S to Streetsboro and get it for 3.91
Same State same taxes, even same brand of stations.
Slightly over 100 miles between Toledo and Cleve. At these prices we should be getting kissed also.

$4.45 the last day i was on Maui on Friday the 30th of May. Think of Hawaii and the fact that all their products for the most part have to be shipped to them. Gas is just one thing that is insanely expensive.
