gauge cluster

Just out of curiosity, when u install a new/used gauge cluster in our hhr will the original mileage carry over from the ecu?

It my not accept it a few years back you had too turn the key on but not let it turn to the start engine position.Wait a minute and do it 3 times to get it to take the new gauge cluster.GM put some thing in the computer back then if you tried to start it the first time it would lock out the cluster just like the way it does to the radio.

try doing some searchin round here. i remember seeing something that you have to take it to the dealer to program the new cluster to the bcm. not too sure on that one tho.
