General Cleaning Tips/Ideas

I'm sure there are already posts on here about cleaning our HHR's. Just wanted to start a thread for people to give advice on what they use and tips for keeping our cars looking great. Mine is a daily driver and gets dirty quick, especially with bugs in the summer time. Needless to say I have to wash her a lot to keep her happy.

I started using Duplicolor tire coating to shine the tires to keep them shiny black through a couple washings. If you have never used it, make sure you only get it on the tires because it sets up like a clear coat and you have to scrub to get it off. Found that out on my chrome beauty rings.

My grandpa always sprayed his engine plastics, and electrics with silicone spray. Helps protect them and keeps them relatively shiny. I do that as well and my engine is always pretty clean.

Not much but a good start. Anyone else have anything?

For keeping it looking smart between washes and removing bugs I use Griot's Speed Shine, it brings the paint right back to that "just washed" look, and the bugs just melt away.

Actually I use most everything Griot's offer, one of our members (SS Fan) is lucky enough to have their showroom/main facility in his backyard.

I'll have to check their products out. I've been using a few different spray and wipe products with mixed reviews. They all do a really good job on our bass boat though. Great for scum lines after a day on the lake.

Anyone have a good product/method for keeping windows clean? I've used vinegar water and newspaper, washer fluid and paper, but about the best thing so far I've found is Stoner Invisible glass.
