That deal sucks also. Most people have found they were upside down on their loan after the first year. So, 3 years later when they decide they want another car (for whatever reason) they need to finance the balance into the new loan.
The point being, you can't make everyone happy with anything

2500 rebate for 07 LT's, 4000 for 2006's That is pretty good if you are looking and can find a 06
The deal is 1000 better than the rebate I got when buying in May but the end result is the same..between the rebate the 1k at the time military incentive and 250 test drive bonus and my GM $$ I ended up with 3700 in rebates.

The key is the rebates and cash. A 1% increase in APR is worth $10 a month over 60 months. $1,000 off the total bill is worth $20 a month over 60 months.
72 months of financing, no matter what the interest rate, is going to leave you upside down for the life of the loan. 36-48 months is the optimal if you're looking to get money out of the car on trade within 60 months of purchase.

that's great 'Teresa'...& that is a nice HHR you have by the way. I would have loved to pay cash for mine, but unfortunately I don't have anywhere near that kind of cash sitting around. I am sure most people on here would pay cash if they could afford it. I got a great deal on my loaded '06 2LT, $23K+ sticker, at 72 months for $318/month. And I plan on keeping mine for much longer than 72 months so I am more than pleased.
