Aren't most discounts or rebate programs limited to cars in the dealer inventories?

Don't be pressured to buy by Sep 1. There will be another incentive on Sep 2. It's just marketing.

Besides, this employee pricing offer is triggered by GM's 100th birthday. But, that takes place mid September - after the employee pricing expires. So, expect a super incentive to celebrate 100 years of GM.

The best way for something better to come along after this is for ME to buy something under this plan, because EVERY time I pull the trigger, better incentives arrive later.... DOH!

I seem to have the same luck as you. Three days after I took delivery of my 08 Shadow LT, I got a phone call from a competing dealer offering me GMS pricing. That's basically another $1000 discount from the invoice price he was already offering, plus the rebates.

discount

Got a call from my dealer.
Saying he wanted to get the paper work done before
sept 2nd. Because the gms program ends on the 2nd
for the dicount. he was going to get the vin for my panel
so we can get it done before then .
So im guessing 8-25-build date.:cool

HMMM, could this be the hidden reason why our '09 HHR SS builds are being moved back to September, instead of the excuse on the RPD? Maybe they don't want to give away so many incentives. Just my 2 cents. If the incentives end on 2 September and we should have originally had our babies delivered about then?? Kind of makes you wonder.
