I know every car company has a bad one here or there, but two in a row in 5 years. I know if any one of you had two bad cars in a row from the same company you would be upset. I realy want to love my 08 shadow edition, but going back to the dealer all the time is making it hard. On the way to the dealer yesterday it shut off two times with no warning lights on. I have to drive 700 miles to minnesota in a few months, and i hope it gets fixed. I dont want to be stuck up in the woods with a broke down car and some bears. Sorry if i made anybody upset, but i just had to vent. I still love the way it looks and drives. I just hope it keeps driving!!!

My Chevy Malibu was a POS and it did the same thing yours is doing now. Take it to a higher authority in the dealership.

My GM experience quite different,

I had:
1993 Sunbird - 104,000 - replaced Transmission (@44k-worst I have had on GM)
1995 S10 - 173,000 miles and replaced the clutch(@159,000mi)
2000 Grand Prix - 147,000 miles and replaced the Fuel pump (@108,000mi)
2004 Grand Prix - 142,000 and replaced front right wheel bearing (Also to the guy talking about the 04 and up grand prix being bad-mechanically was the same car-just different looks and sheet metal!)(@70,000mi)
2006 HHR - 56,000 miles - had original load pop from radio turning on car-fixed
2008 HHR SS - 14,000 miles - nothing

This all the prob I have had with my GM cars.

538,000 miles of experience here!

Don't forget, every single manufacturer has a bad one here and there.

You're just wrong, man. GM makes great cars.

Sounds like easy fixes on the HHR. But, if the only way you can deal with it is by posting your whine....dump the car.

There have been folks here that whined about the rear wiper being a problem when they tried to dry their rear window. Find those guys and form a whiners club.

.

sounds like a easy fix? Can i have your number so i can give it to the dealer so you can tell them how to fix it. It was not a whine, it was a vent. Also, that rear wiper sucks. You must not hand wash your car to much.
