Its the extended warranty offerd through GM. If I had removed the muffler does it void the warranty? I have an oil leak and too lazy to hunt it down, and its very minor...lol after 5k miles im about half a qt short. Yea yea yea, Im a mechanic but lazy. But since I paid for the warranty I want to use it!:p

No it should not void your warranty. They have to prove that the part had something to do with the oil leak and a muffler delete isn't even close

My engine is all kinds of illegal. Never had a issue with dealer denying work.

Agree with Solman......

GM's policy........"Normal" loss is 1 quart every 3000 miles, IIRC. It is posted someplace on this forum (and other GM directed forums).

The oil leak MAY be covered. It wouldn't hurt to ask. My original comment was regarding the loss of a half quart of oil. My bad. I didn't read your post thoroughly.

If GM finds an oil leak they will fix it under warranty. I had a small leak from the timing cover that they found on a routine inspection and they fixed it under warranty no questions asked. Why I had a timing cover leak at 10k is another question
