GM's 7/19 Incentives Announcement

Ok folks,

Here is what GM is offering on Chevy.

First off 0% on all 2006 Vehicles except Corvette and SSR for 36 months.

0% for 60 months for 2006 Impala, Monte Carlo, Silverado, and Colorado

0% for 72 months for 2006 Avalanche, Tahoe, and Suburban

other than that, they changed 2006 rebates:

500 for HHR (first time since vehicle has been out)
750 for cobalt
1500 for malibu v6
1000 for malibu LS
3500 for trailblazer
6000 for avalanche tahoe suburban
2000 for equinox
2000 for impala and montecarlo
2000 for uplander
3500-4500 for silverado (depends what cab size)

The reason some vehicles did not go to 0% is because of limited national numbers. so they offered bigger rebates.

Batman, I just ordered a new HHR and am prepared to pay cash. I have a firm price, but it lets me pay cash or finance. When the car comes in, if I tell the dealer I want the 0% money, and he knows I have cash, can he offer additional discount beyond the agreed price so that I don't use the 0% money?

no

first: you ordered a 2007. No incentives on 2007's

Second: if it was a 2006, you would have to take delivery by sept 5th to get 0% for 36 months

third:when you do 0% you do not get any rebates. the only thing you can use with the 0% is GMS, SUPPLIER, GID, or dealership discount. you cannot add rebates to that mix with 0%. you can use GM card earning though, but that is regualted by what card you have and what program you bought the vehicle under. (GMS< GID, SUPPLIER)

the idea of incentives is to clear out stock, now discount vehicles that arent even widely available. its like asking if you can get a discount on a XBOX 360, or even a PS3. the discounts are on the original XBOX and PS2. hopefully you get that analogy.
