In December, I paid $15,900 for my Premiere Edition with 4038 miles on it.
2.4L loaded, leather, auto, power everything.

Ain't happenin'. Carmax does not negotiate or "throw things in".

All in all--it's not a bad deal for an '08, but with incentives you can probably do just as well on a new one.

Never hurts to make a counter offer but be serious on it. LIke drop the transfer fee and you can draw up the paperwork.

Cyclic, I used to work for Carmax. Dropping transfer fees and throwing things in is NOT ALLOWED company-wide. It is simply not the "Carmax Way". Carmax associates and managers DO NOT and CANNOT make offers other than the price on the vehicle. Those prices are set by the buyers who are completely separated from the entire sales process and have a completely separate management team. Sales are completed by business office associates who have a completely separate management structure as well. In order to "throw something in", a sales associate would have to figure out a way to snowball through three levels of management without getting fired in the process. I can guarantee you that you'll never see that there.
