Good exhast set up?

I have the 07 2.4. Thinking of swapping into a better exhaust for the ride, while doing all this work on it. However Im finding only stock size, just different brand then OEM.. What is a good set up that everyone has actually used and liked?

If i can find long tube headers Ill throw those on as well. Those seem to be a little harder to find...

That's what I'm looking at now, connect the manifold into the down pipe he suggested.
Searching Gibson now, Gibson set up I'm looking at is in 5xx.xx range. Time to see if I can the wife into it all, lol.

While looking at this, at least you would have matching flanges, but you would have to adapt to a down pipe

Walker pipes have wrinkly bends I don’t like because they look restrictive to me. I did put the walker 2.4 pipe with the longer resonator (May be hard to find) on a 2.2 because it looked big enough. With the stock converter and even squeezing down to the stock muffler, it ran REALLY well but sounder throatier than stock.

There’s a shop about 90 minutes away that promises all custom stainless steel systems. I’m thinking about giving them a try for my 2.4L but don’t know what muffler I want. Don’t want loud or highway drone, although slightly more assertive than stock might be OK. Really strongly prefer a long-lasting SS muffler, though.

a zzp down-pipe should connect right into this, correct?

I dont want rice box sound, or super deep, but something a tad more then stock sound, with performance.

Keep in mind the OE stock exhaust is made of an "Aluminized Stainless" metal & really lasts. So if you replace I'd try & get at least that type of material,or you may be down grading.

Just my .02.
