Goodbye to HHR

Just got back from the Local dealership about 20 Mins. ago with out the HHR. Went in for some warranty issues on it(the dash compartment button broken, Bowties front and rear started peeling and rear dome light fell off and was melted) and a oil change. While I was there I was walking around the lot and my salesman that sold me my HHR came out to see how I was doin and we got to talkin and next thing I know I was signing the paperwork to trade the HHR for a brand new Siverado. I really needed the truck more especially with the work I do as an Electrician. Wound up getting the Truck for 13,000.00 cuz it was a left over 2008 and they wanted to move it out. They gave me 10,700 TRADE for my 07 Premiere Edition HHR. So I guess this is goodbye for now. I'll post pics later today of the truck I need to finish cleaning up my mess from removing my radio and stereo system from the HHR.

When gas hits $4/gallon, you'll be wishing you were driving something that get 30 mpg vs the Silverado that may get 17 mpg. Truck at this time are cheap to buy. Can you use the truck and gas for the truck as a tax write off?

I kept my old truck

I kept my old one ton, four door dually truck for my business but keep it locked up in the shop and rarely drive it. When I bought my HHR gas was around $4 per gallon and it costs over $110 a week just for my short daily drive. Now with lower gas prices and my HHR I am spending about $30 per month! And I really like this little car. I have put 15,000 miles on it in less than a year.
I will drive my truck if I absolutly have to but most of my driving is now in the Princess.

I was thinking of selling my Panel and using the money to buy a house (Imagine that!)

No one is buying cars. Only taking trade-ins and not giving much.

Based on what I could get for my 06, I'd say that's good. Plus the new one was discounted a hell of a lot. Congrats on the new truck BigJ!

10K is decent for a 2yr old Domestic. One thing i hate about GM is the crap resale Value. People say its due to Rental Fleet however i think its more of a Stereotype that GM's Car's and the Domestic Brand are still Crap.

I sold my Truck 2yrs ago. Don't miss the Fill-up however when it Snow's every other day and the HHR Stock Tire's suck, Those are days i ask myself why i ever got rid of my Truck then i go fill up the HHR and remember why.
