I will drive my truck if I absolutly have to but most of my driving is now in the Princess.
I wish I would have kept my old Ranger but figured the price of gas would never drop below $3. I did go out and get a new Colorado and decided to keep it for weekends and drive the HHR to/from work which is a 100 mile round trip when I couldn't sell the HHR at a decent price. Now the wife is wanting something bigger than the HHR so we'll be looking around pretty soon to see what we can come up with.

Kelley Blue Book says my premiere is worth $11225 trade in and $15360 retail value. That's why I never trade a car in, I retail it myself. I am going off of using the Excellent Condition, because it meets all criteria.

Vehicle Condition Ratings Check Vehicle Title History Excellent
$15,360

Looks new, is in excellent mechanical condition and needs no reconditioning.
Never had any paint or body work and is free of rust.
Clean title history and will pass a smog and safety inspection.
Engine compartment is clean, with no fluid leaks and is free of any wear or visible defects.
Complete and verifiable service records.
Less than 5% of all used vehicles fall into this category.

I can understand your predicament. If a dealer is able to make you a good deal on a new vehicle while your vehicle is in for warranty work, half of the "hard part" is done.

That is why dealers often pray on warranty customers...if they are having problems with an old(er) car that is in for warranty repairs, that's the best time to trade them out of it(psychologically)

besides, as each day passes, HHR's are getting more and more popular, and with the recent influx of rental trade-ins, the market is saturated...so there will be plenty of them around should you ever want another one.

They didnt convince me to trade, I had been looking for the last 3 months or so and just didn't see the truck I wanted. Plus the salesman that was helping me had become a close friend due to him being a fellow drag racer and been racing with us since shortly after I bought the HHR. Though they did sweeten the deal by upgarading the wheels to chrome and a $100 dollar gas card. I am extremely happy but will miss the HHR. It was just not practical anymore for me and I didn't want to ruin it by putting tools, ladders, and stuff in the interior. I would rather someone else enjoy it and be able to take care of it.

Recall on extra glove compartment

Hi Chevy Mgr,

I bought HHRvey new in '06, but this is the first time I have heard of a recall on the extra glove compartment. Mine doesnt latch very well, so I am assuming recall #01857 would apply to my car since it is a first year model. Did GM send out a notice about this? If so, I did not receive one. I better get to the dealer as my warranty runs out on the 18th! Thanks for the video in case I have to install it myself!

It also seems like I'm the only one in town with full leather. Runs good gas mileage is good. Going to keep it for a while
