Just finished installing a black leather steering wheel with radio controls that I bought off of Ebay. Said was for a 2007 Cobalt. However, it was all plug and play. Didn't even have to switch any of the wires for the radio controls.

So, again, I am indebted to all the great help and advice here!!! THANK YOU! What would have been a very difficult learning experience, was made very easy due to the knowledge and experience shared. Much appreciated.

And so, if anyone gains any help here, the least we can do is become a Premium Member. Just a very small way to pay back. IMHO.

I just purchased a black leather steering wheel with all controls off of an 06 cobalt for my o6 lt, hopefully all works well when I try this install, it will be nice to have the new controls. I am guessing that this will work as it looks exactly the same as my grey plastic wheel, does anyone know if it will be an issue going from no radio controls to one with controls? or is it just plug n play.?

It is done and all buttons work perfectly, this wheel is significantly smaller than the stocker. Install was a breeze, was a little concerned about the clockspring that I read about but wasn't a problem, thanks for the info and the how to, Guy
