Great coffee cups
Since joining this forum, I have added things to my HHR based on some of your suggestions/ideas :twothumbs I thought it was time I paid back.
I am picky about my car and always look for things that really work, I am also picky about my coffee, and have found something that works for both.
I purchased a MiGo coffee cup that fits very well in the small space that we have in these little cars. They fit nicely in both the front console cup holders and the rear cup holder. They have never tipped over, although they probably should have, and are easy to access. They are made of stainless steel and rubber and come in different colors. Red (for the SS with red highlights in the interior)and light blue as well as the black in the photo. They have several styles, but be careful to get the thin ones, the thicker ones are too wide to fit in the cup holder. Also, they have both the thick and thin ones with handles. The first one I bought had the handle and it got in the way. The ones without handles work very well.
The stainless steel is both inside and out (think thermos) and the only thing plastic that touches the beverage is the screw on plastic lid which is the same color as the rubber grip. The lid has a revolving cover that covers the drinking hole if needed.
They are a little pricey around $15, but well made, keep coffee hot and fit our cars like a glove. I bought mine at Meijers, but have seen them at Target as well.
They work well in my SS without armrests and my wife's LT with armrests. We now have 4 of them so we always have 2 clean, and wouldn't think about leaving for work without one.
Happy drinking

As an avid coffee drinker myself I have looked at these cups but wasn't sure how well they worked. Do they do a good job at keeping your java warm?
Is this the animal?

I have something very similar that I use on every trip I take. Mine has a handle which fits over the parking brake for even more stability. It has rubber on the outside and stainless on the inside. I bought it at Bed, Bath, and Beyond. Again, it was pricey but I'll use it for years.

dbfruth, yep, that's the animal and yes, it keeps coffee hot for a long time. It really is built just like a Thermos. I usually pour hot water in before I fill it with coffee to preheat.
It is also big, it hold almost 16oz.
I am sure I will have these for many yeas they way they are built.

There are coffee cups you can plug into your auxiliary power to keep the coffee warm. They work very well. I had one but I drank the coffee too fast to let it get cold. Now if they invent a plug-in thermos, I'll be first in line to buy one.
