Great Mountain Driving!!

Yesterday, took the HHR up to Big Bear Lake to do some fishing. I was a little concerned how it would do up the mountain and how it would handle on the mountain roads. I couldn't have been more pleased. No power issues, and it handled the roads GREAT!!!...Every day I am loving this car more and more...Now about the fishing...TOTAL BUST ...just a couple bites... got to hang out with dad though and and enjoy the mountain scenery.

Remember, a bad day of fishing and driving your HHR is better than a good day at work!

It's been so hot up there, I honestly wasn't expecting too much success fishing... they were feeding between 15-20 feet, so not much room for error with the setup, but like I said, the HHR's ride in the mountains and hanging out with dad made my day.

I have a 5spd 2.2L and it ran great when I took it to Estes Park late in June. Ran great through the Rocky Mountains and was very impressed with how it cruised up and down the hills and around the mountain curves. This is one great car and was extremely pleased with the performance of the 2.2L engine.

Glad to hear you had a great time with your father. Take all the time you can to spend with your folks while you still have them. It would be great if mom and dad were still here to enjoy my HHR with me...they would love it.
