Glad you are on the the road to recovery. One of my best friends had a stroke some years ago at about the same age. I was told he had about a 10 percent chance of making it through the night. Like you, his will was strong and he has regained some of his abilities. His left side remains paralized but he has regained the ability to get around with a cane and has been able to drive again.

Keep fighting the good fight. You have a lot of people pulling for you.

i had a stroke when i was 15, you get an angiogram? hole in the groin not so fun. inoperable, though interestingly enough it is not a clot but tissue ripped from the side of my artery. so clot "busters" have no effect.
temporarily lost my right side also, i managed to recover quickly due to my age.
also my youngest (of 3) had many medical problems (7 months in hospital 1 1/2yrs on ventilator. tracheostomy, g-tube, etc. lots of deficits and they were a direct result of Dr incompetence or neglect, in the midst of legal crap)
we said goodbye more than once. (thinking / being told it was the end)

i empathize with you and your family. best of luck.
and yes strokes SUCK!

My skinny, athletic boss had a stroke last month at 29. He was incredibly lucky, got to the ER in 3 minutes and back to work in a month. His reasoning is bit suspect, but nothing's obvious.
