Hard shift

Ok…I have limited experiance with automatic trans….what would make one shift weird and hard in all gears?

no…but door lock/ unlock started acting up at same time….wondering if related electrical issue…maybe bad ground?

What voltage is at the battery? The symptoms you described indicate a dead cell in the battery or just a dead battery!

Says car has P1818 code…trans pressure…could be eletrical

I haven’t seen this code for HHR’s, but the Cobalt site has.
It’s either a pressure solenoid for the torque converter, squirrel chewing the wires or a Ryobi rechargeable battery!

Thanks….friend is towing the car now on way to Pennsylvania…,relayed all the info from you guys, especially checking battery and fluid level

Aren't most batteries rechargeable?
I for one am glad for that or they would have to continually replace the one in my head.
