Head Light Delay?

This may have been brought up in the past, however I could not find anything about it. I would like to be able to make my headlights stay on longer when I turn off my ignition. I have a 2008... Any advice

I wouldn't know how to change it...but when I am in need of light, the unlock button on the fob will turn them on for about 30 more seconds or so...but I understand that is redundant and can be a pain if you got a handful of crap/groceries/etc...

Most complain about how long they stay on. The fob is the only way I can think of.

If I remember correctly it can be done from the controls on the steering wheel. Your owners manual should tell you how if so. I may be remembering something else. I will check mine and see.

Some of us old folks have trouble seeing at night, and the path to the house is lined with various other vehicles....
Never thought about using the key fob....

Just went out and checked mine. Unfortunately I wasnt able to change the timing. It was my Corvette I was remembering. It has the option to change the delay time.
Sorry.

This old folk is lucky, the garage door is right in front of where I park the car.

On the steering wheel, hold down info and enter to enter the DIC info and setting, scroll thru until you get to headlamp delay, the choices I believe are OFF-15s-30s-1m-2m

Yours must be a special issue. Neither my 2008 LT nor my 2011 LT have such a setting.

Perhaps that's a feature in Canadian HHRs?
