funny as hell... I just got assigned exterior lighting warranty for F#A, where the # is delivering the mail...

Osram Sylvania has issues. Wish I could get all my OEM customers cash. Low cost for sub-par quality...

That said, my personal vehicles have been fine with Osram bulbs. Avoid the Blue-stars or whatever they call them. Life-length is under half...

Silverstar. That's it. That is half the life expectancy and twice the price... not in my cars.

I saw Sunday I had a headlight out. Dreaded changing it. Not an easy job for an amputee. Picked up single Sylvania at Wally World for $13.84.

Yep - picked-up a pair last night myself as I noticed mine is out. Going to replace today. Did my wife's '12 traverse and looks like the process if similar to the HHR. Total pain, but once you do one, the next time isn't too bad. Always replace in pairs - bought a single for the traverse and 2 weeks later to the day, I was changing the other bulb. If factory installs 2 bulbs at the same time, they will likely burn out at the same time. Just my $0.04 cents worth. (inflation, fees, etc.)

Ok, so 20 minutes for both - way easier than our '12 traverse. I was able to access by only removing the top 7mm nut and the 2 bottom fasteners. On the fasteners - flat head screwdriver & pry all around until the head is completely away from wall. Then, use needle nose underneath head and pull - this allows equal pressure and mine came out easily without breaking. Grab the socket and twist ccw. ** When I removed socket from housing (on driver & passenger side) the old orange gasket was stuck in the housing. Remove that first before re-inserting. Also - once you have the lamp socket in hand, the purple clip has nothing to do with removing the bulb! LOL Simply press inward on the upper grey tab and bulb slips out easily. When twisting the socket back in, it's easier if you're looking at the front of the headlight - definitely helps with alignment because there is no way to see this through the wall housing.

I use a pair if diagonal cutters to pop the plastic retainers. Slip the jaws under and around to get it started then tilt to pull out.

The HF barb fastener pliers are very easy to use and get the pin out quick and clean

Back on Sept 21st, changed both headlights. Bought a 2 pack and now one just went out. These have a 1-Year warranty and since I bought the 2-pack, they are both covered even though one was still working. Will be looking into LEDs next time as these didn't last very long. By the way - I'm sure it's mentioned in here somewhere, but if one of these little dudes happen to break, these fit perfect. Seems kinda sacrilegious to use a Chrysler part but it is what it is.
