Headlight Warranty ?

Is the headlight covered under the 36K/3Yr warranty? Mine is leaking and has a lot of moisture behind it. If not then i may try to black the chrome in it out....

Since it is under warrenty, see if you can get them to replace them w/ the fall edition headlights. They have the black chrome in them.

The owner would have to pay the difference of the cost. The black chrome ones are about $100.00 more per light. And since it would be done at the dealer, the owner would be stuck paying what the dealer charges, no going through gmpartsdirect.com.

If the headlights are not covered under warranty, I have a pair of originals from my 06 that I would part w/ for a reasonable price.

But on the other hand you also would not have to pay the big shipping price GM Part Direct charges on their parts too.

Guess I'll be stopping by the dealer today sometime, I would love the fall edition, however only one is bad, so i would have to pay quite a bit more .

JX3 - I'll keep that in mind if needed.

They are covered. It's bumper to bumper. When we were in for an oil change a month ago, I had them change a headlight bulb that failed. It was covered.

Not Covered

Went to the dealer today and they told it was not able to be replaced under warranty since it did not have pooling water in it. Said since they (GM) went to new style headlights they are not sealed and it would be common to have moisture on the inside.

Whatever - it had moisture and so much that it was dripping down the inside of the lens.

Going to another local dealer tomorrow. :)
