Thumbs down headlights

Well, I just had the pleasure of changing my Headlights..The design and method you need to change the headlights is pretty horrible and requires an extraordinary effort and luck::

Either one would fit what he is talking about.

I really don't understand what he meant either. I changed the bulbs in mine and it was one of the eaisest things I ever did. I would think the reflectors would be a small issue but having never done that I really don't know. I have to believe, based on my experience, he means the reflectors, but I don't understand why anyone would do that unless they were damaged.

Headlight bulbs??, as in ripping the fender well out, jacking up the car because your 20's leave no room for a fat, 6'3'' man's hands to fit in that area, my last car...pop the hood, remove bulb..replace bulb. It is much harder to do than it should be. However, it may be one of the easiest things I ever did if I was a mechanic. Todd (Uma)

it took me 15 mins to get both headlights out. I would recommend to anyone to just pull the front fascia off and take the headlights out to change the bulb. its fricken easy

Well we all have varying mechanical abilities. Yeah saxrocks, pulling the fascia is pretty easy...but that doesn't mean everyone here would try it. I hope that Minoabob doesn't get discouraged by the response to his post, honestly we can all pretty much agree that bulb changes on the front of an HHR can be a pain for the inexperienced. You just have to remember that giving of your experience is a two way street, the person you help today, can help you out tomorrow.

I have been told my 2010 Malibu needs to have the front bumper dropped to change the headlight bulbs.
