Headlights... option codes

Since my memory is mush, and I tried a search but obviously can't use the right search terms... which version of the HHR had the "darker" chrome in the headlights? I'm going to have to replace mine eventually - lenses are getting too cloudy/crazed to polish out anymore - and I'd like to "darken" the chrome a little if I can find them. Don't want to go full black like the ones from Depo though...

I think you are talking the "Fall Edition". I don't remember what year, maybe 2006 or 2007.

Sounds right. Is there a specific GM code/number for these lights?

GoOgle tells me it was 2007 and it was black chrome package. https://www.google.com/search?ei=6eO...60.b6TURXF2clA

I think they are actually Depo headlights.

RPO is either B2N or B2E for fall or spring edition.

Ok, that makes more sense. I've been seeing the "B2N" and "B2E" on my Google searches and couldn't figure what that was. Some looked "darker" than others, but couldn't figure if it was the ad photo or not.

^ Thanks Blue. Their prices actually weren't all that much better than other places I've found, but I ordered from there anyway. Hopefully the B2E code is correct for the color I'm looking for.. I think it is.. we'll see!

Did you use the discount code?
Ive had guys come over to swap out their headlights and the new ones the bought off eBay weren’t B2E.
But these from RockAuto are, I’ve seen ones from another popular parts supplier and they were B2E

Yup (for the discount). It was only 5% off the price, so a whopping 7 dollar savings. It's cool, I do try to support sponsors. Funny how the drivers side lights on any vehicle are more expensive than the passenger!
