heated seats? how do they perform?

are heated seats standard on the hhr? or is that option only available with leather seats? Also, do the heated seats have a low-med-high heat setting? I know on some various cars i sat in that had only a preset ''heat-on'' function the seat got too hot and soon the cabin would smell like roasted ass. The heated seats i liked the best were in volvos and volkswagens, with a temperature control from 1 to 5.

I have the heated seats on my HHR. I don't use them much. But your right. Only 2 settings. Hot and Very Hot. I only use them when I keep the car outside on frosty days. I alway park my HHR in my garage so I don't need them much. I drive 200 miles a day. I live in Pacific Northwest. But you do have to have the leather seats frome the factory. This is the first car I have every had with Leather. I like cloth most of the time. But I do like the smell of leather. But you have to maintain them every 2 to 3 mos. The photo of my HHR you can see the switch on the dash for heated seats by the fan speed knob. Lights up 2 bars for hi and one for low. Hope this helps you.

I have the heated seats and with this time of year in Michigan, I would say it's the best option my HHR has right now!

Just purchased my HHR and it was one of the best selling points.

Dealer tried to sell me one with cloth seats and no heater so I made him locate me one that was done right.

It gets too hot, sure... but by that time the cabin heater is up and running... the seats are best for taking the bite off while the cabin warms.

it was a balmy 5 degrees on my way into the office this morning. Heated seats are the best invention ever. In the HHR the high setting can get extra toasty. the low setting is good though for keeping your buns warm after they have been cooked on high for a while.

In the winter or cold morning, they are the best and warm faster than rest of cabin. It also is fun to turn on the passenger's heated seat when they are not looking and wait about 3 mins to see there reaction

The heated seats rock, as everyone else has said. By the time it's too hot, the cabin has warmed up. I was really happy to have them this morning in -11 temps.
