Hello

Hi all.

My name is Chris. I am currently lurking around the site. Really thinking about getting an HHR. I have an '06 cobalt SS (2.4L) right now. There is about 18 mths left on the lease. Hopefully I can trade it in early and afford an SS or maybe a nicely loaded 2LT.

Umm, almost all leases require rediculous amounts of $$ to terminate that early. Not worth it for any car. Why do you want out of the Cobalt?

I'm not looking to get out now. I'm thinking more around the 6 months left on the lease mark. That way if I have to order anything or wait for it to be shipped, I'm not up a creak.

Oh. That makes more sense. Actually, GM may send you an offer to buy you out a few months early... I know that happened to my wife with a car she leased maybe 6 years ago. I think we were able to get out of it 3 or 4 months early with no charge.

Welcome, I have the 2LT HHR and my son has an 08 Cobalt LT. They are 2 different styles of cars. I like mine, he hate the looks. He likes the Cobalt, it's just another car to me. Enjoy the site.

Yeah, I did that on the first chevy I ever had (95 s-10). Right now I'm surffing around the web site on another screen just trying to decide what color to get. I wish they made a yellow one. Here is a pic of the wife's and mine (I have the yellow one)

This was after a almost 1.5 hr combined wash session

Size: 5.6 KB to the site Chris!!! I'm an ex-Hoosier, lived in Fort Wayne for 14 years. Be sure to check the Regional Mid East Forum for Events coming up this summer. We have an Indy Zoo Meet in June and our 2nd Annual HHR Cedar Point Meet in July.
As for turning in the Cobalt for an HHR, you may get lucky. Since you are staying within Chevy they might try to work you a good deal.

There are several other members here who wish the HHR was available in yellow also.

I traded a 2006 Nissan Frontier that I had leased in January of 06, I went to the Chevy dealer and they told me they would give me $17,000 for the Nissan, and I got really lucky and did not have a penalty for early termination! I bought my HHR March 15, 2007.

My husband however leases his 2005 Colorado and he wanted to trade in for a new 2007 4 door Colorado and they said he would have to fork out about $9,000 for a early termination penalty plus he would have to roll over another $8,000 into the new loan!! He said forget it!

I could not believe that Nissan Finance would allow me to trade for a Chevy with NO penalty for early termination!!
