Hello...

Hi. I started a new job as a field service tech a few months ago and it comes with a company car which is an '07 (built in 10/06) HHR LS. It already has 110,000 miles on it but they take very good care of them maintenence-wise and it is in very good shape. I cover about 4000 miles a month in it so it definately gets driven...ALOT! Has new tires, struts, always had the oil changed at 5K intervals, and other regular service like plugs, air filters, trans flushes, etc. Next spring it will be due for replacement with a brand new one (another LS). Anyway, I never really paid much attention to these cars but I am pretty impressed with it's handling (Firestone Firehawk tires) and even though it's no speed demon, the 2.2/auto combo doesn't do too bad. If anyone is interseted in how well these cars hold up over alot of miles talk to me...lol! Everything works well still (A/C, cruise, etc) and aside from a broken front sway bar mount and a new A/C condensor (the oriinal took a rock hit) that had to be fixed nothing has gone wrong with the car. I haul about 100 pounds of tools and equipment with me and can achieve 33-34 mpg on the highway.

I'm kind of curious as to what changes the '09 models will have as it will be my next car. Can't find much info on them yet. One of my co-workers has a new '08 and it has the auto-dimming mirror, body colored door handles, and remote start standard that mine doesn't have. He's had his for 3 months and it already has 10,000 miles on it...lol!

Update

Well, the HHR now has 123,000 on the clock. Nothing at all has gone wrong with it and it is due for replacement in November. I get to have a brand new '09 HHR in November and just got the paperwork today. I only get to choose an LS but I took the new Aqua Blue with Ebony interior. I currently have a Sirius Starmate in the current car but hopefully I won't have to deal with it when the XM/Sirius merger finally starts with the broadcasting since the new car will have factory XM in it and I can just transfer my subscription over to it. Heres a few pics of the current car. I gave it a good cleaning, a half-used clay bar treatment, and a Meguires NXT wax. Not bad for being high mileage although it does have a few rock chips in it:

I do alot of auto detailing for neighbors/family in my garage during the summer so I was curious how this one would turn out having never been hand-washed or waxed since I got it

Only a few major items needed to be replaced during it's life so far:
Front sway bar buschings
A/C Condensor (due to a rock hitting it)

Never liked Chevy much but this car isn't too bad.

Very nice clean up job! Looking at the photos you wouldn't know it had 123K on it.
