Hello Everyone!
Hi, I went looking for a 'introductions' forum, but could not see one, so I landed here...
HI!
I am Matthew, I don't own an HHR(yet). That is in the near future(Hopefully). I love the look of the HHR and the space inside. I presently drive a 1986 Volkswagen Vanagon, which I dearly love. The problem is it is slowly nickle and dimeing me to death. I always get attached to my cars, and every one is special, and has a personality. In the Vanagons case, it Hates my wife, and will break or act up if she is in it. I am looking for something that gets better gas mileage, can still carry things, and will not break constantly. I also want something that looks good. Thats Kinda why the HHR is getting inside on me. My first cars were chevys, and I have always liked them.
Anyone want to tell me the good _and_ bad parts of the HHR? I really want to make an informed decision.
Thanks,

ah yes, yet another VW to HHR (pending).... (I did it too), just got for it! The HHR at it's worst drive will still be much better than the best your 86 Van would have given you! (my VW is 1970 Westy, I don't drive it anymore, but still got it.)

We have a Volkswagen and an HHR. We love both of them, both great vehicles in their own way. The VW is a 2005 New Beetle TDI diesel-- gets about 42mpg city and about 50 on the road, and has more torque than our HHR. The HHR is quieter inside, rides smoother, and has more room in the back seat plus cargo space.
The Ecotec engine in the HHR is reknowned for durability and reliability, and the build quality on the HHR feels very solid. You won't be disappointed.

Just watch the South Pacific region of this site.... there will be a Tom's Farms in Corona happening soon! (oct/nov).
Clubs are starting to form all over the USA for the HHR. The closest to us so far here in So Cal is the Modesto group. You'll find them in the South Pacific region portion of this site.
