Help, I got sprayed

Ohhh dat smell!
Just toss an open can of sardines in the back. You won't notice the skunk smell. Back in the day when I deer hunted, you could buy "skunk scent" to use on pads trailed from your boots to cover your smell.(about a 12" piece of string tied to your boot). One fellow really screwed me on a deal, so I waited for an opportunity to pour a bottle of that **** down the fresh air vent behind the wipers( this was way back in he day) He had about 3 years left to pay on the car, so he couldn't trade it. (that was in the days when banks would only finance for 4 years) Needless to say, he didn't have ANY social life to speak of. But what goes around, comes around, and stays!

I have hit so many skunks in my day, and have learned that getting the smell of skunk spray out of a car is a waiting game. I would usually take it to the car wash and spray it down making sure to get underneath and that's it. Normally, within a couple of days the smell has dissipated and can no longer be smelled. I would be hesitant to do any major cleaning after hitting a skunk, but rather just wait it out.

One good thing about being in the South. We have relatively few skunks. Possoms at least don't smell.

This is the first skunk Ive ever seen and I have lived here for 15 years now. The smell is no longer there aafter a good detail job and just waited a few days before I used the air and now its not there either so I guess we're good. Thank goodness cause wow was that bad.

I had one take up residence in my garage once. We got into a fight when I tried to evict him and he sprayed the garage. That got into the whole house. I looked up somewhere on the internet and found out that vinegar slowly warming on the stove would remove the smell. It did. by the way, I killed the skunk. It was either me or him.
