These little bad boys are cool, any performance stuff to think about. Don't own one, don't know anything about em but look to be in my budget and again they are cool looking. Don't expect to kick a Mustngs azz but don't want to get smoked by a Honda Accord;o)
Thanks

thanks sleeper. Again, don't know anything about these cars. Things I should look out for? Have about 3k to add to an already descent car. Panels look nice, or are 4 doors(sedans?) or what it is they are called any better?Again no clue about them. And I have been in the automotive after market for over 40 years.
Again any help greatly appreciated.

I have a '10 SS now had a '10 LS.
The LS has a 2.2 and at 3000 lbs it felt peppy and got great gas mileage. It was a no frill car. No sunroof or roof racks. Had XM/bluetooth/On Star.
The SS has the 2.0 turbo and at the same weight it's like a very fast little wagon. Yes I've surprised some Mustangs with it also, lol. It has the XM/bluetooth/On Star along with sunroof and flaring. Mileage is not that great compared to the LS. Add a tune and a rear sway bar and you will have a smile on your face.
Also the SS comes with rear disc brakes. The other models have drums in the back.
A basic problem that start when new are the front sway bar end links which are upgraded when you use Moog replacement parts.
Some people that have panels say the rear doors give a problem with not popping open when using the key fob. The rear doors don't have outside handles.
The automatics don't have posi, the manuals do.
I would look into a '10 because the latest upgrades were done to them from the factory.
It would surprise me if there were some out there that didn't get the ignition lock recall done also.

Welcome Mike, the LS 2.2 is a great economy ride, comfortable for long trips , dependable, and with some preventative maintenance very long lasting, I’m almost at 300,000 miles , a 2007, no VVT, no ABS , no sunroof!
