Isn't the lowered angle of the driver's arm rest to aid in reaching the shifter and other low dash controls, part of the car's ergonomics? I don't think it was an accident that the driver seat arm rest is lower than the passenger arm rest. The lower angle might bother some, but to me its part of the car's design.

I might agree with you if they were ALL like that.. But seems some are & some are not..
