HHR and car seats?

So I started looking at HHRs today, and noticed there's no latches on the back seats to hook a car seat to. I can't imagine a car in 2009/2010 without a latch system, especially a car that is basically a station wagon...albeit a cool station wagon. :)

They are there...look behind the seat on the cargo floor

Ah, I didn't look way down there. It seems most mini vans, wagons, hatchbacks all have them near the top of the seat, much easier to find. But as long as it's there, that helps make my decision easier. Thanks!

Another FYI, this is from Pp 1-46 of my 2008 HHR owner's manual. I'm sure other years are similar if not the same.

The rear outboard top tether anchors are located on
the cargo floor behind the rear seats. The rear center
top tether anchor is located in a storage compartment
behind the rear seats. Lift the lid of the storage
compartment to access the anchor. You may have
to fold back the cargo mat to access the storage
compartment and the top tether anchor for the rear
center seating position. Be sure to use an anchor
located on the same side of the vehicle as the seating
position where the child restraint will be placed.

Those hooks for the child seats are in the two plastic storage areas behind the back seat.

Much better to have them in the floor vs the top of a folding seat in a a hard crash.

Yep, I use the latches everyday. Latches should be on the floor, if they are too close to the top of the car seat, in most cases you won't be able to get the strap as tight as it should be. I hated the position in my last vehicle, the top strap was basically useless, HHR much better...

Ah, carseats....the quickest way to destroy the inside of a nice car! They easily latch once you find them down in the compartments in the cargo area. Thank goodness we are into boosters that use seatbelts. Sooooo much easier!
