Talking about Title change

Hadn't thought of that. A title change would be appropriate, I will be hanging around.
Regards
Bill

I like the analogy of miles and milk. Milk costs more per gallon than gasoline in CA again.
I have heard that when being inspected for a salvage title, they primarily check for stolen parts. I will keep the receipts with the title

Yeah I hit a deer on my snowmobile up there. Lost part of my front tooth, choke myself with the chin strap of the helmet.
-20F and thought it was 70 after that.
Glad you're OK .
Buy another if you would like.
I'd really rather not, since the one I have is driveable even if it isn't pretty. If you only had one tooth, you must be from way back in the hills.LOL

Not sure what state you're in but there would be no salvage title involved here in Alabama. Since it's still your car and I presume titled in your name then it was never filed as being a salvage. It's just your car that you are fixing some body damage on.
Same scenario here in Alabama (we don't have inspections) you wouldn't even have to notify the DMV about the damage. Just fix it and drive it.

Yeah, not sure how NY handles salvage, etc.
I wouldn't even bother trying to re-insure it with Comp and Collision. I would just go with the legal minimum (PIP and Liability?) and self-insure the car for damages.

Hi George, hope you and yours are well and keeping safe distances from everyone!
Here in Alabama, our lack of any inspection leads to some pretty damn non-roadworthy vehicles out there too, doesn't it?
I am still driving across the bay to Mobile almost every weekday, keeping the company running. But I have almost everyone else tele-commuting.
My trips have been pretty enjoyable lately. Of course there are a much smaller number of cars on local roads.
Plenty still on the interstates though, mostly truckers who seem to have missed every one of those "Trucks Use Right Lane" signs.
