HHR to end 2012?

When it came to the HHR Lutz took the risk when most said he was too late and it paid off.
They sold nearly an average of 100,000 units per year with the HHR. The other choice was a Cobalt wagon that would have sold 15,000 or 20,000 units at best. I think they found like most times Uncle Bob was right.
He said GM needs to give people what they want not what they need. He points out peoples needs can be taken care of by any 2 year old used car. Give people something they want they will pay the extra to pay for the new car. This is a point lost on many marketing idiots today.
With cars you need to feed the ego.

Last Year HHR
I look at it from another perspective.........desirability. We want to go out with a bang not a wimper like the PT Cruiser.
Chevy will make something to replace our cars or risk us buying CRVs or Rav4s.

Note GM does not telegraph thier move that far ahead anymore. They no longer have to to keep stock prices up. Days like the new Camaro was shared 5 years out are over. Anymore you will not have a hint till about a year and 6 months before you get a good idea of what is coming.
Most of my GM insiders can't talk much anymore. Most are affraid to even hint. In the past the lap top came out and they showed me what was coming. Now that happens no more.
In a way I hate it but in other ways it is more fun to be suprised.
The one thing I can tell you that has been shared is we have not seen anything yet.

That is what I am getting at. There will be a replacement, in function, which to me is WAY more important. I did not buy this car for the same reasons a lot of peopel around here did, I bought it because I saw the potential to have a gas saver AND use it as a truck when I needed a truck. And it has done just that, i've got pictures lol. I am more concerned that we get a replacement in function.

Thank you for your feedback about your feelings with the end of the Chevrolet HHR. Yes, it is very sad that this vehicle will no longer be produced.
In the future, if you have questions and/or concerns don't hesitate to contact me.
