HHR gives PT Cruiser a good whacking.
Where it counts--in the sales charts. For the month of July, Chrysler managed to deliver 9,734 Cruisers. Chevy sold 14,838 HHR's. Chevy also noted it is one of the fastest growing models.

Hey wolfee...where did you get that info? I could use it to send to a guy from the Rocky Mountain News who left the HHR out of the Spark & Sputter column today. I need ammo to dispute the info shown below that doesn't even list the HHR.
Sorry for graphic size...but wanted it to be readable.

Deb, I'm still searching. It is SOMEWHERE on the cheersandgears.com site. If you have never seen it, it is a site for GM maniacs that explore every teeny tiny bit of minutia about anything GM anywhere in the world. Gimme a few more minutes and I'll come up with it.

Here is the link to the guy quoting the GM press release. A followup poster cited the PT Cruiser numbers. Just scroll down and you will see it.

Looks like a great GM forum...thanks for the link.
BTW...I sent an email to Bud Wells disputing the figures above. Let's see what he has to say.
Here's what I wrote to him...looks like I quoted some of the same info that is on the link you provided as well.
Hello, my name is Debbie and I just read your column in the Saturday issue of the paper. I am the proud owner of a 2006 Chevrolet HHR and would like to take issue with the figures you provided on the 7 month totals. As noted below, sales for the HHR are up from a year ago when they were introduced, and leaving them off the list seems preposterous. I would like to invite you to visit the fastest growing HHR forum at https://www.chevyhhr.net
Please refer to the link below which states the following:
HHR had its best retail sales month since launch, and set an all-time total sales record with 14,838 vehicles delivered, up 249.6 percent compared with July 2005, and CYTD deliveries of 66,828 vehicles.
I would also be happy to get in touch with several of our forum members who are employed by Chevrolet dealers and have them provide me with information available to them regarding HHR sales.
Here is the link where I procured this information.

I look forward to hearing from you at your earliest possible convenience. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Deb, you should also link www.media.gm.com I hacked my way in to the photography section as well. If they show any good HHR stuff I'll pass it along (if it is something approved for distribution).
