HHR hit of the parking lot

I just got back from Medievil Times in New Jersey. It is a combination show/restaurant that holds about 1500 people in an stadium that has a play with knights, kings, jousting, etc and they serve food (no silverware allowed).

There were no handicap parking spaces left, so security let me park in front of the lot, right next to the main entrance. When we left (and we were the last to leave), he came up to me and said that my car got a lot of attention. He told me that one out of every three people walking by commented on the car. Then, we talked for about 1/2 hour-he builds and races cars himself. He modified many PT's, and said that HHR's look like they will be more popular. He also told me that the Ecotech engine was actually designed by Toyota-that is why it is so powerful and efficient. He also told me about a car show in CT that has so many HHR's they had to create a class for them.

Get used to it !!!

Lee3333, You`d better get used to a lot of attention. Everywhere I take THE CRUCK, it`s the "Star".
I don`t have to tell you that WE have the coolest rides on the Planet.
I almost have to issue shades ,on sunny days. The CRUCK wants a pair too..

I know and I love it, but my wife is still constently amazed at the attention the HHR gets. She still thinks it looks too 'gaudy' with the yellow flames.

Last Friday we drove to Long Island, and saw at least 10 other HHR's on the road. One that was on our side pulled along, checked it out, smiled and gave a wave then thumbs up. My wife was surprised, but smiling.

By the way, great link, CH. Wish I could show the security guy.

Corollas, IIRC. My son had one. Not too impressive but great MPG.
