HHR LS Swap Rat Rod

I know the lift sits about 6" low on the left, might be throwing the picture off a little. But they are slightly different. Right arm is about 2" longer. I cut the angles the same and measured the same off the horns. Who knows. I guess my answer is that's where it landed

I could, hell I still might :-P This 9" was free, and seems pretty close to the dimensions I need. $150 I can rebuild it and put new brakes on the back. This is a Taco Bell budget build Also this rear end will take a serious ass whooping without complaint. I've tore up a few 10 bolts, and the rear ends they put in ls f bodies are about as strong as a wet noodle. For now I'll be using a stock 5.3, but eventually I'll build another engine with some balls behind it. I'm just trying to get the bare bones together now to have a driveable vehicle. I'll do a disc brake conversion and 4 link it later on. Cars are meant to be driven, and I wanna be behind the wheel asap

I'm pretty excited about this power to weight ratio!! Little brother is running an 01 Z28 6spd putting down 390ish to the real wheels with a cam, headers, and a good tune. Pops is in a 98 S10 with a fresh 4.8 with a mild cam and headers, no tune yet. I gotta be able to keep up with the family!!

Yes sir, thanks for the encouragement!! I can't wait to see It either. I think my wheel/tire choice is gonna make or break how it looks. I've got a picture in my head of how I want it to turn out, but realistically this will be a work in progress. Probably be next summer before I get the paint, wheels, suspension setup, and stance how I want it. But I plan on driving it everyday in between modifications. We'll see how closely I'm able to stick to that plan

Cat Man, it turned out you were right about my welds! I was fighting more than I should have with my puddle. Turns out I had bought a spool of E71T-GS. Went this morning and picked up a spool of E71T-11 World of difference between these 2 wires. That GS isn't nearly as consistent or standardized product as the 11. So thank you for making me look a little closer and analyze what was going on. Building a bumper for a VW Van right now and the difference in this wire is ridiculous. Pisses me off a little, I ran 11lbs of that gs wire, or should I say fought it
