But, the PT came out with LOTS of press/media coverage. It was one of THE cars to have its first two years. The first year dealers were charging well over sticker.
The local PT club here stopped having their annual g2g when ONLY 75 showed up two years ago. They were used to having 250+! So far the most HHRs we've been able to get at one event was ~60.

I remember magazines. They were fun. But, and remember, I Am a bookstore./magazine dealer, esoteric magazines are well on their way out. The internet and forums like this have killed them and all but killed the rest.. We are all a part of their demise and there is really nothing we can do about it.
The economics of producing a magazine that is successful in today's market creates the likelihood of a small mag succeeding and growing to a profitable stature very slim indeed.
Still the ever dwindling Corsa, Corvair Society of America, manages to print and send to around 5,00 members each month their magazine Corsa Communique. It has never hit the newsstands in the history of the club, nor was it ever intended to. Franky with the internet, I wonder how/why it is still published, but I'm grateful that it is.

Perhaps if enough of us enthusiasts banded together, started a club and charged the dues that Corsa does, at $38 for 1 year/ $76 for 26 months (two months free!) such a magazine for us HHR finds could exists. Until then, there is the internet.

PT CRUISER QUARTERLY was the mag put out for the PT CRUISER and lasted for about 4 years. The big gtg held in St. Louis was probably one of the best shows put on, we went the first 4 years when it was a 3 day event but could not do it for a one day event because of the long drive.
