hhr oil filter cap

Just to make sure. You are talking about the oil "filter" cap? The spelling is close to filler cap, so just making sure.
All of the oil "filter" caps are the same on the HHR's.
The oil "filler" caps come in a couple different styles.
Question: Why are you needing to replace it?

hhr filler cap
thank you for response
I changed the oil but was unable to remove oil filter cap.
I have tried every tool I could get in there.
finally decided to buy the correct tool on the internet
but
I am afraid that if it is that tight
(I was able to bring a fair amount of pressure on it)
that when I get the correct tool and use a ratchet
the plastic cap may break and I was covering my buns.
I am assuming it is plastic please correct me if I am wrong.

thank you again
your picture looks different from my situation.
I bought a 1/2" drive standard 1 1/4" (32 mm) six point socket
and I was unable to work it under the manifold and that is
why I am going for the special socket that they say will fit
in the space I have available. The new cap is just in case.
thank you again

thank you for responses. As it happens I was out shopping and was next door to advanced auto and they had exact socket I needed. The cap proved to be more sturdy than I thought because it did not break.
thank you again. Now the next job is to attach tow bar so I can tow it. It has already arrived but I will wait for warmer weather to install it.
thank you again
