HHR pricing
Opportunity for good pricing...
General Motors Chevrolet HHR
Vincentric Market Price: $12,140
Discount from MSRP: 35%
Why? Out of fashion; discounted too much for too long
The retro-styled Chevrolet HHR, just like the Chrysler PT Cruiser it mimics in some respects, is a product whose time has come and gone. The HHR has been heavily discounted for several years now and has lackluster resale value; it gets just one star in ALG’s Depreciation Ratings, meaning its value is going to drop like a rock as soon as you drive off the dealership lot.
HHR sales are actually up this year, though with a higher percent -- now 69 percent of all HHRs -- going to fleets.

Discounts are only part of it.
Fleet sales are the kiss of death for resale values. The HHR had been around 30% and that is part of the reason you have been able to find LT1's so cheap used. Enterprise and other rentals have turned over many every year makeing more supply vs demand.
This has less of an effect on LT2 and SS but still does have some effect.
Note GM is trying to get away from Fleet sales on many of the new models. They want to keep their value up. GM never made much money on fleet sales as it was cheaper to sell them as fleet and keep plants open vs shutting them down. They no longer need to do this.
The HHR is just building out this year and often the last year many cars are sent to fleet to clear up large inventories of parts.
