If you put decent tires on them they're fine in snow. Especially if you have one with traction control and ABS. The stock Firestones suck in snow.

Are you guys running snow tires or "All Seasons" ? I got my HHR in April past . I just had Tiger Paws installed last week. So I've not had any time in the snow yet to form an opinion.
As a former Pizza delivery guy in a small town in Southern Ontario I had A LOT of fun in the snow. Sadly no snow to "play" in yet here 8(

I believe the firestones are all season. but i would bet a good set of blizzaks or other snow tire would be better.

My mechanic gets a 25% off deal on Goodyear.
He uses Eagle GTs on his sick ST4
He says they're good in the snow and commutes 45 miles each way.

Anyone use EGTs on their HHR in the (real) snow?

I have an SS and the Pilots are even worse in the snow than the Firestones.

Get a good set of All Season tires and you will be fine.

I run a set of Goodyear Assurance tripletreads in the winter and have no issues driving in the snow. In fast the HHR is the most boring snow cars I have owned, no drama what so ever as I pass people with the death grip on the wheel. It just goes right through it all. I often will even push snow with the air dam and it just keeps going.

Tires are the key to the HHR in snow.

Note I live on the south east end of Lake Erie and we get a lot of snow. Today and Monday they are telling us 10-20 inches.

I have the good year RSA's? and dont care for them in the snow, they are ok in the rain unless its a heavy down poor. I bought them cause at the time they were all I could afford.
