HHR SS with automatic?

Is there any information or links out there that says that the HHR SS will have an available automatic? Thanks for your time and help :)

Performance 4 cylinder automatic?

Why?

Says manual only. I wish they would have put the 6 speed in it.

Hmmm... I don't see "only". Member "Pittsburgh HHR" states he has seen the HHR SS information through the GM dealer website and has the codes for the new SS options; an automatic is listed. (The link is in the 2nd post of this thread.) Why do I want an automatic? For one, the wife can't drive a stick, and for two, it would be a daily city driver. Manual gets old after a while in the city (in my opinion). Getting from light to light with 260 HP (estimated) will sure be fun though... I'm going from a PT Cruiser GT with an automatic (with autostick) to an HHR. The current 172 HP engine is a DOG compared to my turbo. If Chevy does in fact offer the HHR SS with an automatic, I'm in!

It also mentions nothing about an auto. I'm pretty sure mine stated auto or manual.

I think I'll head over to my local Chevrolet dealer today and see if they can check the dealer website for me.

yeah the six speed from the saab works perfect. ALot of guys from the redline and cobalt forums have put it in their cars. I just hope the beefed up the clutch , becuase if its the same from the current coballt ss its crap.

I would rather have a auto just because i dont like how low the shifter is i actually prefer manual, if the center console was redesinged i would consider a 5 speed, which should be a 6 speed.
