HHR SS Build Delay??

Hi everyone (First Post),

I have had a new HHR SS Panel on order since late July. The original build date was to be the week of 9/1. I received notification the other day that the time frame has been pushed out to the week of 9/29. I heard that the reason for the delay is the unavalibilty of the turbo unit. Have any of you guys heard of this problem?
Thanks, Vinny

I think this was posted before about GM pushing back the 09 release of the SS. Reason being GM was having issue's with the 08 SS's. Alot of members were having issue's with the Turbo. Not sure what excatly.

welcome to the delay.

i ordered my '09 SS panel july 12th. the original TPW was 08/25/08, then it was delayed to 09/01/08, and now delayed to 09/29/08. i have the same build week as you. the reason why my order was pushed back is because of availability problems with the UAF performance display reconfigurable option.

Did you order your HHR with an Automatic or Manual trans? I've heard they are working on an update to the automatic based HHR's to make the brakes better.

yeah, the '09 SS's are out, the '09 SS panels are out. the only delays i know of are the UAF performance display and the USB radio. the radio issues were solved.

HHR SS Build Delay??

The build for 09 HHR SS with reconfigurable display and 5 speed will not began until late November. The dealer said if I drop the display or drop the 5 speed, the build can continue. I read in another thread that the problem was an electrical glitch with the display’s shift lights indicator with the five speed. The display with the automatic is currently available.
The back-up camera is available but I am thinking that it too might not work with the 5 speed as well – similar to the remote start pkg. with the automatic.
I really do not want to lose the ponies. Brembos, and performance package with the auto – I will wait.

2009 HHR SS Panel on order - Red w/ ebony cloth & red inserts.
J56: Performance Package
MM5: Transmission 5-speed
UAF: Performance display reconfigurable
9B7: spotter mirror
UQ3: Pioneer Premium 260 watt 7 speaker

i hope not. my TPW is 10/13/08, but that could be delayed for a fourth time.
