HHR Trade In Values
#11
FIrst off wait on buying as the prices will drop at the end of Dec-Feb. They are closing plants due to too much inventory and there are going to be even better deals coming.
Second do not trade the HHR unless you just don't want to sell it. Dealers are seldom friendly on trades and in times like this they are not going to give you anything. You will have to pay for the privledge to have them take your car.
I just bbought two cars and sold tow cars since August. With what I sold mine for vs trade we were talking thousands of dollars differance. I then to keep a good car in good condition so it pays for me to sell. Now if you have a car that needs work trade is a good option.
In your case with low miles and a popular vehicle I would sell it out right.

KBB, Edmunds, and NADA don't buy cars and sell them wholesale, plus they're usually 60 days behind the actual auctions on pricing.

I have been looking at trading my 2LT in on a 09 Fusion with the great employee pricing deals Ford has right now. anyway I was ready to buy but 3 dealers all said my super clean, loaded 07 with 36,000 was only worth $8,000 I told them they must not want to sell their cars very badly. I know they would turn around and put my car on the lot for probably $14,000.

Last year we KBB'd ours and it was worth $1500 less than we bought it for (2005), even with the mileage.
So them offering only 8K is a crock.

There have been some problems with Vue Hybirds in the past and service bulletion on them. Even the great Toyota has had problem with their Hybrids and Honda even quit selling one of them as no one wanted it and I'm not talking about the orginal Honda 2 seater but I thin k the Accord.

That is what ALL the dealers around here are using as trade in values, yet they want full retail for what they are selling...

Trade in around here isn't the greatest, but better then eight grand. I thought about it when we found out junior was on the way. Trailblazer
SS was all I would look at. Offered me 11,500 for mine with 18,000 on a 2007 2lt
