HHR Ugly?

Its funny how others opinions differ with regard to the HHR:

This car is quite possibly one of the ugliest cars that I have ever seen. It was featured at the Chicago Auto Show... but it has absolutely no style at all. Chrysler's got the look with the PT cruiser, but this is just plain awful. I could stop on an empty can of Coke and it would look better than this monstrosity.

Ah well, there's no accounting for taste out there.

That rat bastard! Must've been payed money under the table by Chrysler since the original story I'm sure had the PT Loser name instead of HHR, but replaced it. I smell a CONSPIRACY THEORY.

I love how the guy backtracks later too:

That's very insightful.
Here's what I've done since I last posted. I went auto shopping and narrowed my search down to the Mustang (natch), the Cobalt, and of course, the HHR. I figured, it doesn't look too bad (after much inspection) and that it has a ton of room.

I test drove it and I loved it, it was a smooth ride and, although not as fast as I liked, did what it should have. Roomiest car I've been in in a while.

However, I test drove a Cobalt after that and then a Mustang. I went with a new, black 2006 mustang. But the HHR is very nice and I'm glad I actually drove it.

As for the reason I didn't buy it... it's because I am very fearful that it'll have the PT Cruiser syndrome: hot at first, then people get bored with the bold styling.

Bored with bold styling? I'd rather be bored with bold styling than bored with ordinary styling.

I don't read these goofy opinions, I am a big boy so when I saw the HHR, I did my homework, to hell with anybody else's opinion. I am more likely to go the opposite diretion of these "experts", just due to my wonderful attitude about following the crowd. Now if the nice journalist would like to tell me to my face that my HHR is ugly, I'll be glad to drag him behind it for a couple of miles...

Who care's what some idiot has to say. All of us here know what the truth is:
"THEY ARE ALL JUST JEALOUS OF US".

That's likely the same type of person who told me my HHR was funny looking and my hot rod ('35 Ford sedan) was "ruined" because I took the 85 hp flathead out and installed a nice fresh LS-1 from a 2000 Corvette. I used to get upset with these people......I don't any more, I just consider the source and let the fool think whatever he wants to.
